Subject: Let's Have a ACM Conversation About Teaching and Learning

Dear Colleagues,

One way that the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) supports our member colleges is by fostering community – online and in-person – with peers.

With the help of my ACM team, we’ve developed a new group (and list-serv) that singles out individuals who are directly involved with leading teaching and learning programs and initiatives on our member campuses. Some of you have the title of “Director” and others of you have a broader portfolio of duties, of which, supporting pedagogical excellence, growth, and learning is just one part.

From my conversations with some of you in my first year at the ACM, I’ve heard a hunger to more deeply and regularly connect with your counterparts. We’re happy to help facilitate that. Why don’t we start with a virtual meeting and we can go from there!

Let’s Find a Time to Meet

I created a poll for this meeting. I included times for dates between February 12-28, here is the link:

https://whenisgood.net/7y37j4j.  Please reply by next Thursday 2/6.

When we meet, I’d love to learn more about your current programming, something new you are trying this year, and any topics/issues/challenges that you don’t have the time/energy/expertise to tackle (this might be a place where ACM can help).

Depending on your interest and appetite, we could plan to check in once or twice a semester virtually, use this list-serv to exchange questions and ideas, or even plan to get together in-person to connect and learn from each other.

Looking forward to a conversation,

Lisa
